Treads / Steps / Slabs / Risers

Treads or hearths are commonly used for mantel, wallcaps, and step risers. Treads are available in many different types of product.

• Pennsylvania Flagstone Treads/ Granite Treads
  • This material is thermal on top and 1 long side with a gauged 2″ thickness.
• Pacific Treads
  • Pacific Treads are thermal on the top with 1 rock faced long side. This material has a 2″ thickness.
• Indian Sandstone Treads
  • Indian Sandstone is calibrated with a 2″ thickness with a natural top. This material is rock faced on 2 short sides and 1 long side.
• Marble/Travertine Treads
  • Marble/Travertine Treads are gauged with a 2″ thickness. This is available in bullnose or straight edge. Available finishes are Antiqued and Sandblasted.

Steps are a precut uniform stone specifically used for a 6″ rise.

• Pennsylvania Flagstone Steps
  • This material is thermal on top and 1 long side, or  with natural edges, with a gauged 6″ rise.
• Pacific Steps
  • Pacific Steps are thermal on the top and the 2 short sides with 1 rock faced long side. This material has a 6″ rise.
• Laurel Mountain Steps
  • Laurel Mountain is available in many different options. All have a 6″ rise.
    • Thermal on 6 sides
    • Thermal on 3 sides, rock faced 1 long side
    • Natural on 6 sides
    • Natural on 3 sides, rock faced 1 long side
    • Guillotined
• Marble/Travertine Steps
  • Marble/Travertine Steps are gauged with a 6″ rise. Available finishes are Antiqued or Sandblasted.
• Indiana Limestone Steps
  • Indiana Limestone Steps have a snapped face with a 6″ rise.
• Granite Steps
  • This material has a thermal top with 1 rock faced long side with a 6″ rise.
• South Pacific Bluestone Steps
  • This material is thermal on top and 1 long side and 2 short sides with a 6″ rise.
• Midwestern Steps
  • This material has a snapped face with a 6″ rise.

Slabs are commonly used for walkways, oversized retaining walls, natural out croppings, and natural steps. Slabs are typically 2′ – 6′ long x 2′ x 4′ wide x 4″ – 6″ thick.

Risers are commonly used for random steps. Risers have a uniform size and thickness. Risers are typically 2′ – 6′ long x 2′ – 4′ wide x 5″ – 8″ thick.
